Larvotto Resources Ltd is an ASX-listed junior exploration company based in Nedlands, Western Australia. The company operates exploration projects in Queensland, West Australia, and New Zealand and has recently acquired the Hillgrove Mine in NSW. The company is multi-commodity based, exploring copper, gold, antimony, cobalt, lithium, and rare earths.
We seek an experienced Geoscience Data & GIS Administrator to manage the Company’s exploration and mining geological data.
Reporting to our Exploration Manager, you will form an integral part of a team of geoscientists and industry professionals focused on finding and developing mining and exploration opportunities. This role will take leadership in managing the geological database and GIS to ensure that geological data is maintained and validated as required.
About the opportunity:
As Geoscience Data & GIS Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the corporate geoscience database, importing all forms of geological and analytical information, producing high-quality maps and plans in Micromine, Datashed, and QGIS, and providing support to our technical team.
Key Position Responsibilities:
- Maintain/update workflows and data capture procedures, validation, and analysis.
- Ensure field personnel have correct hardware and software, are adequately trained, and follow all company data collection protocols.
- Maintain effective and prompt communication between geologists on site and management to address any issues within the database and quality of data provided.
- Ensure data integrity through regular monitoring, maintenance, data validation and application of industry best practices.
- Uploading or editing of data utilising MaxGeo DataShed, Micromine.
- Data preparation, export, and delivery to multiple users.
- Provide tenement management and reporting assistance.
- Preparation of maps and figures for compliance reporting and presentations.
Successful Candidates will possess:
- Minimum 5 years' DBA experience in the mining and exploration industry
- Previous experience using Micromine and QGIS
- Previous experience using MaxGeo DataShed is an advantage
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Have the confidence and experience to work independently, within a team environment
- The ability and willingness to share knowledge and information in a logical and consultative manner
- A sound understanding of data integrity and collection standards
- A high level of attention to detail and a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Strong written and communication skills
