The Microsoft Power Platform Architect position is a new role within the organisation which will a) help to reduce our reliance on outsourcing the role's function, and b) ensure the company has internal governance and oversight of the platform. The position will incorporate a range of functions primarily in the development and support of our Microsoft Power Platform utilising our Microsoft Azure tenancy. The company is undergoing a significant transformation program of work across our Operations, Finance and People & Culture departments, and this role is a key component of that program.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Architect a reliable and stable Power platform the business can trust.
- Ability to clearly understand business requirements and convert them into solutions.
- Design solutions using best practices and methods that meet business requirements.
- Documentation of deliverables.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members to provide the correct solution.
- Deliver solutions in a timely manner and within budgetary constraints without compromising on the quality of the deliverables.
- Provide appropriate governance of IT partners and vendors to achieve desired outcomes.
- Collaborate with the business to identify business opportunities.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
- PL-600 Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect certification highly regarded.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (e.g., Data Factories, SQL Databases, Storage Accounts, Virtual Machines).
- Experience with data modelling and management of relational databases.
- Experience developing pipelines using Azure Data Factory for ETL requirements.
- Experience developing Power BI reports.
- Ability to produce detailed design documentation and other document artefacts as required.
