We're seeking a all types of Chef’s to join our vibrant team. If you're organized, thrive under pressure, and have 1-2 years of experience in a Kitchen, we want to hear from you. While knowledge of Middle Eastern cuisine is a plus, it's not essential. What matters most is your passion for food and creating memorable guest experiences.
Tasks and Duties:
- Food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes as per AZIMA menu
- Creating and preparation of specialised meals as per customer preferences
- Planning and preparation of food items for functions and events
- Ensuring day to day kitchen operations run smoothly
- Inspecting food preparation and serving areas for compliance with company standards
- Auditing and quality control of food items
- Ensuring compliance with safe, sanitary food-handling and OH&S practices
- Estimating expected food consumption for ordering stock and supplies
- Assisting Executive Chef in supervision and training of kitchen staff
- Expertise in usage and training others in the use of commercial kitchen equipment
- Record keeping for food stock and inventory control
Skills and Experience Required
- Minimum requirement is Certificate IV in Cookery or Commercial Cookery
- Experienced in fast moving commercial kitchen will be highly regarded
- Excellent communicator and team player
- Ability to work unsupervised and lead others as required
- Quick thinker and well presented
