Overview
In this pivotal leadership role, you will lead, advise, and deliver key strategies for the strategic and operational midwifery business of the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN). This role will report to the Executive Director Nursing and Midwifery of the Local Health Network, where you will contribute to the development and effectiveness of systems to support, evaluate and consistently improve midwifery practice and healthy work environments. You will accept accountability for the governance and practice standards of midwives, and for the cost-effective provision of health services within your span of appointment. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. With demonstrated experience as a manager in the health care industry, you will be capable of leading complex projects and guiding services through times of extensive change. Your skills will be applicable to the hospital setting, particularly in regard to the provision of midwifery services. An innovative and resourceful manager, you will possess effective leadership skills including highly developed skills in communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation.
