About the role:We are currently seeking an Auto Electrician at our Coppabella Moorvale mine. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile PCI coal for export markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the scope of your role will be to complete planned and unplanned maintenance of Peabody Coal mining equipment as directed by the Leading Hand / Supervisor to the required standards.
Duties will include:
- Compliance with all site and statutory OH&S regulations
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety including the use of site safety systems
- Prioritise and undertake specified and/or general work to the required standard and within timeframes
- Minimise production downtime
- Participate in and complete shift change, site meetings, communications or reporting requirements to the required standard.
- Actively engage in the in the Continuous Improvement Program
The lifestyle:This position is offered on a 7/7 day/night roster and can allow for a residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle, camp accommodation provided where required.
About you:
The successful candidate will have an Auto Electrician Trade Qualification and proven knowledge conducting safety inspections and completing JSEA’s, Risk assessments and Permits. They will also have;
- Previous experience working on prime and mobile equipment including but not limited to, Cat 6060 and Hitachi Hydraulic excavators, Liebherr T282 & Hitachi EH4000 electric drive trucks and Cat 785/789/793 trucks, Pit dewatering pumps and Cat Ancillary support machines.
- Air Conditioning system servicing and licence.
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems including SAP
- Excellent diagnostic and schematic reading knowledge,
- Defect identification and scope creation skills
- High level of initiative and flexibility
- A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and safety as a way of life.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a rotating shift or permanent day basis.
