Mine Rehabilitation Excavator Operator

Are you a skilled Excavator Operator looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact on the environment? We are currently seeking a competent Operator to support an upcoming project in the Bowen Basin. 

DIDO from Mackay, or FIFO from SEQ or Brisbane. Roster arrangements are flexible, and will be determined in consultation with the successful applicant. 

No sponsorship available with this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens or have full working rights. 

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment, ideally in mining or civil environment. 
• Must have, or are willing to obtain, a Standard 11
• Must have an RII in Excavator and current open Drivers License 
• Must have, or are able to obtain, a current Coal Board Medical 
• Experience in revegetation and rehabilitation equipment would be advantageous. 

Tasks & Responsibilities 

• The safe operation of an excavator, within a grub & clearing scope, prepping material for mulching & shredding 
• Quality record and data keeping for reporting 
• Day-to-day reporting of work to project clients and supervisors 
• Provide a high level of friendly customer service 
• Have a willingness to learn and become passionate about the technical aspects of Mine Rehabilitation 
• Within a small team you represent the business and as such, should present well and willing to advocate and be proud of the work you conduct 
• Ability to pass daily drug & alcohol tests 
• Willing and stress-free attitude with the ability to work well with others and form a strong team.
• Strong adherence to safety and site regulations under minimal supervision.
