The Role: As the Mine Senior Offical at Cook Colliery, you will play a leadership role that is responsible for managing statutory compliance and safety of your crew. We offer an attractive rotation, along with a competitive salary for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to permanent employee and contractors
• Organising and monitoring on-shift activities
• Ensuring statutory responsibilities are fulfilled
• Complying with all legislative requirements
• Influencing and building relationships amongst the crew and project personnel
• Promoting safety to all teams for all underground operations

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Underground Coal Mining legislation and practices
• Demonstrated leadership experience for an underground coal mining operation
• 2nd Class Queensland Managers Certificate of Competency or NSW Certificate of Competency with mutual recognition
• Intermediate computer skills
• Strong commitment to health & safety practices
