We are currently seeking a highly experienced Mine Services Coordinator to join our Mine Manager in our Operators division based at our East End Mine Site, Gladstone.
About the role:
Reporting to the Mine Manager and working collaboratively with the Mine team, Plant leadership team and our Major Mine Services Contractors. This exciting and dynamic role will be responsible for the consistent operation of our mine site to safely meet or exceed production requirements; in line with Reporting Requirements, Workplace Standards, Local Community Engagement, Suppliers & Consultants Co-ordination.
This is a rewarding role with an opportunity to make a significant difference, you’ll be challenged to multi-task and at times required to prioritise under pressure, with timing on deliveries often critical to our business needs.
Key Tasks will include:
Provide and maintain safe systems of work including administering mine inductions and mine medical records
Review JSEA’s and risk assessments and conduct thorough investigations into workplace incidents providing effective feedback to work teams
Provide daily mine production planning, ensuring rail schedule aligns to output of the mine production
Provide input into mine planning processes to ensure practicality of mining plans to achieve the Weekly/Monthly/yearly targets
Responsible for the Drill, Blast, and Shot initiation planning
Coordinate drill and blast contractors, rail contractors, surveyors and other Mine Services contractors (excluding maintenance services)
Raise purchase orders and approve incoming invoices in a cost effective and accurate manner
Complete monthly Production Reports accounting in SAP including stock management & EOM cost reporting
Participate in monthly forecasting sessions and continuously review costs within area of control
Prepare mine OPEX budgets and identify improvement opportunities to be included within the CAPEX portfolio
Provide administrative support to the mine in the areas of ISO systems administration, maintaining the reporting/audit system and document control registers
Liaise with outside parties and key internal stakeholders to manage company land and properties
Lead and take part in SHE training and tool box talks, engaging the team in safe operating processes through frequent visit to job sites promoting the culture of continuous improvement
Improve plant, process and people performance
Ensure compliance with HR management policies and procedures (leave, injury management, performance, etc.)
About you:
Tertiary education in Mining (desirable)
Heavy Rigid Licence (desirable)
5+ years relevant mining industry experience
Experience with; Mine site Administration, Project Management, Contractor Supervision/Management and Production and Mine Planning
Understanding of the Mining Legislation, licencing and conditions
Drilling & Blast experience (desirable)
Production Scheduling
Open Pit Mine Planning
Production and Cost Budgeting
Safety, Health, Environment knowledge
QA Systems Management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office suite & SAP, or similar data and reporting systems
