Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) is an Australian mining and exploration company with a highly strategic landholding, and two operating mines in New South Wales (NSW).
Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, The Mine Surveyor (Peak Mine Site) to optimise extraction of the known Peak resource through efficient, safe and cost-effective mining operations. This includes proactively ensuring flexible, reliable and professional survey services are provided to the operating departments. Maintain compliance of Mine’s survey.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring a safe work environment by identifying hazards, enhancing safety, and fulfilling all reporting needs.
- Managing survey requirements on site, including operational and legislative aspects.
- Upholding compliance with mining regulations related to surveying.
- Conducting comprehensive field surveying tasks, both underground and on the surface.
- Implementing mine designs as needed for various operational requirements.
- Documenting spatial changes, including all lateral and vertical voids, and maintaining an up-to-date void model.
- Reporting to management regularly (End of Month and as needed).
- Maintaining precise survey control to ensure accuracy in all measurements.
- Creating emergency plans quarterly and producing annual mine statutory plans for regulatory submission.
- Performing additional tasks as requested by the supervisor, aiming for flexibility and reliability in service provision.

About you
- Aligned with Aurelia Metals Values, showcasing commitment to our inclusive and respectful culture.
- Capable of obtaining a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access.
- Holds a valid ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence, without restrictions.
- Possesses a relevant tertiary qualification in Surveying, such as a Bachelor of Spatial Science or Diploma of Surveying, or equivalent.
- Brings 1-3 years of relevant underground survey experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in survey practices.
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
