Pantoro Ltd is a high grade Australian gold producer operating the Norseman Gold Project. The Geology department is seeking a Mine Technician to assist in ore spotting, sampling and to provide other support within the mining team.

The Details
Pantoro is seeking an Open PitMine Technician to join the expanding team at the Norseman Gold Project. You will be responsible for assisting in all areas of mining, production, and exploration together with collation and data entry of information collected. You will provide quality, timely and accurate collection and processing of all geological samples, and assist Mine Geologists as required. At all times this will be achieved in a safe manner, adhering to all statutory requirements and company safety, health and environmental standards, policies, and procedures.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in all areas of production, mining and exploration as directed.
- Daily production and drilling data collection and recording
- Open Ore spotting and tracking, compilation of data.
- Collection and collation of metallurgical, geological, and mineralogical samples as required including ore dump sampling.
- Prepare drill core for logging by Geologists.
- Ensure adequate levels of sampling consumables on hand and stock control.
- Compilation and distribution of daily, weekly, and consumable reports
- Adherence to all statutory requirements and company safety, health and environmental standards, policies, and procedures
About You
- Experience within the Open Pit mine environment essential, underground experience optional
- Manual Drivers’ Licence
- HR License (desirable)
- National Police Clearance
- Physically fit and safety focused.
Modern Camp
The project is serviced by a modern accommodation village situated within the Norseman township with full messing facilities and a new gym. Employees will also have access to the town facilities and services, providing the best of both worlds while on site.
About the Project
The Norseman Gold Project is an exciting project which includes a 1 million tonne per annum processing plant completed in September 2022 and development of multiple large Open Pits and underground mines. Mining activities have been established for well over a 12-month period providing on target tonnes to processing facility.
Existing mine life is approaching 10 years. Ongoing organic growth is expected with six drill rigs focused on Ore Reserve growth currently operating.
