We are located a short drive from the picturesque town of Mudgee, an area renowned for its world class wineries and tourist activities. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager and as an integral member of the Technical Services team, you will be responsible to control and manage the ventilation activities and standards at the mine. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the mine's statutory compliance by implementing and maintaining appropriate gas monitoring systems;
- Managing ventilation systems that provide the underground operations with suitable airflow for fresh air provisions and contaminate removal;
- Undertaking the monthly ventilation status report, measuring airflow and atmospheric conditions;
- Ensuring there is a current and accurate ventilation model of the mine which considers life of mine operational plans; and
- Reviewing and updating relevant hazard management plans as required.
Is this the right opportunity for you?
- Prior experience working in Mine Ventilation in either underground coal or hard rock mining;
- Must be willing to obtain NSW Ventilation Officer practicing certificate for underground coal mines;
- Computer literacy within Microsoft Office and Ventsim.
