Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation. Collinsville also offers accommodation provided at the on-site village boasting comfortable facilities.
Reporting to the Field Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance of Light, Medium, Ancillary & Heavy equipment. You are a tradesperson who understands the impact of availability and reliability on the outputs of the mine in a dynamic and changing environment. You will be responsible for field, workshop and/or fixed-plant maintenance activities.
To be successful for the above position you must demonstrate your unswerving commitment to get the job done in a safe & timely manner, have a positive attitude and the ability to work proactively and effectively. A trade qualification in a mechanical field is essential.
