The mining sector in Queensland and New South Wales is continuing to experience significant growth across multiple projects and operations. There remains a shortage of skills in various disciplines, and notably, there is high demand for Finance and Commercial personnel from an on-site perspective.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from experienced Mine Accountants or Senior Mine Accountants (as well as those contemplating a return to this field) who are based in Western Australia and interested in relocating to the Eastern States. If you've been considering a change of scenery, now is an excellent opportunity to seize the moment. These positions are permanent and offer a variety of compensation packages and arrangements, with opportunities available in locations such as the Hunter Valley, Central NSW, Central QLD, Northwest QLD, and Brisbane (FIFO).
What to expect:
The typical responsibilities of these positions sit within the Commercial function on-site, and can host a wide range of tasks spanning financial and managerial reporting, budgeting/forecasting, process and system enhancements, assistance with end-of-month (EOM) procedures, and cost analysis.
Strong communication skills will be essential as you will be required to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders across varying levels and departments, including site personnel, operations, finance, and management. Possessing a keen eye for detail, a passion for numbers, and a continuous improvement mindset will see you excelling in a role like this.

- A qualification in Commerce, Accountancy, or a related field.
- A CPA/CA qualification will be highly regarded but not essential.
- Prior experience in a hands-on accounting position within a Mining environment or a relatable heavy industry.
- Advanced Excel expertise and experience with ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills and easy to deal with.
- A willingness to relocate to Queensland and/or New South Wales.
