As a vital link between the Technical Services and Mine Operations teams, you will play a key role in ensuring seamless coordination and fostering positive relationships.
About the Role:
As a Mining Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering safe and efficient drill and blast plans.
- Daily monitoring, recording, and optimization of production progress.
- Managing on-site contractors and assisting supervisors in the day-to-day running of the mine.
- Conducting mine process and business improvement studies.
- Actively participating in team activities, meetings, and initiatives.
- Assisting the Senior Engineer in establishing and implementing safe working practices.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements related to mining activities.
- Committing to maintaining health, safety, and security standards within the workplace and identifying potential risks.
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- Tertiary Engineering Qualifications, preferably in Mining.
- Experience in Coal Underground Mining.
- Proficiency with mine design software.
