The Role
Reporting to the Underground Manager, the Mining Foreman - Underground is responsible for assigning tasks and resources to the Mining Supervisors, guiding and supporting them in the supervision of the underground mining operation. The Mine Foreman ensures full compliance with Catalyst Metals standards, policies and procedures, whilst ensuring the delivery of operational targets in a safe, productive and efficient manner
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Knowledge of the WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations
- Strong problem solving, organisational and time management skills
- Sound knowledge in underground mining techniques and remanent mining activities
- Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly production and development targets are achieved.
- Significant operational experience in a mechanised hard-rock underground mine.
- Significant leadership experience and supervision of mining operations employees
- A strong background in running and managing underground mining operations.
- Intermediate computer literacy skills.
Qualifications:
- Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC).
- National Police Check meeting the requirements of the business.
- Current Unencumbered “C” Class Western Australian Drivers License.
- WA Underground Shift Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency or equivalent
