THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a driven, experienced, and proactive Underground Mine Foreman with strong organisational skills & a passion for safety to help guide the Beta Hunt underground team on its growth to 2Mtpa.
- Be an integral part of the Karora Growth strategy – path to 200,000 ounces and 2 million tonnes per annum where your input, guidance and leadership is valued
- Exciting opportunity to work with both Gold and Nickel
- Fast paced environment with an ongoing ramp up in production profile
- Review plans, schedules, survey reports and geological data, consult with Engineering, Maintenance and Supervisors to plan and ensure schedules are met
- Coordinate workforce, roster preparation, annual leave scheduling and assist with employment / deployment of personnel
- Actively promote training within crews to strengthen future skill sets
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading an Underground Mining team
- Western Australian Underground Shift Supervisor Certificate of Competency
- Knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act & Regulations
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Reasonable computer skills & literacy, particularly across the MS Office suite
- Proven leadership skills in a hard rock underground mining setting
- Experience in bulk mining methods and capital project implementation
- Experience in a contractor mining setting
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
- Communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, and successful working relationships with your team
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
