AES is currently seeking motivated experienced Mining Geologists with a Bachelor of Science Degree to work with a leading mining company in various locations across the Pilbara region.
Reporting to the Superintendent of Geology Mining, you will be part of a Mine Geology team dedicated to achieving technical excellence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety, the environment, and the communities in which we operate.
- Coordinating the precise collection, analysis, and interpretation of geological data.
- Leading the implementation of best practices in ore control and mine geology core routines.
- Ensuring the timely and accurate dissemination of information from the Mine Geology function to all customer groups, including Resource Engineering, IPRO Tactical Planning and Production Scheduling, and execution teams at the Asset.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Geologist with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a passion for delivering meaningful and impactful work. You are team-oriented and results-focused, with a proven track record of collaborating effectively to achieve objectives. Additionally, we ideally seek candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years experience in the industry
- Bachelor of Science Degree (must)
- Ability to collect, process, and interpret geological data in both mine and exploration settings
- Proficient mapping skills
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with internal and external parties
- Logistical planning and project management capabilities
- Working knowledge of industry-standard mining and geological software and systems, including Vulcan, GIS applications, and Leapfrog
- Preferred knowledge of BHP-specific software and systems, such as Blastholes, Reconciler, I-Site, and MQ2
- C class manual driver's license (preferred)
