Mining Mobile Plant Operators

New iron ore mining operations, based 20km from Port Hedland. Excavator (Rock breaker), Loader, Haul Truck All Rounders. 2:1 roster - Full Time roles

Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a fast-growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening and materials handling to the mining industry.
We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites. Additionally we provide ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.
About the role:
The role is based at our new Poondano mine site, located 20kms north of Port Hedland, with the role FIFO ex Perth.
The mining team is using excavators fitted with rock breakers to win the in-situ iron ore and then loading the ROM material into articulated dump trucks for transport. The ROM material is then loaded into a road trains for transport approximately 10 km to the east where our crushing plant is located.
From there it will be feed into the mobile crushing and screening plant by a CAT 982 Loader to produce a lump and fines iron ore products.
We are currently seeking applicants with the below experience:

• Excavator (Rock breaker) - Must have
• Front End Loader - Must have
• Grader / Dozer / Bobcat (also desirable)

This role is offered FIFO ex Perth on a 2/1 roster on a full time salaried contract of $152 725 per annum.
Requirements:

• Must have experience operating an Excavator (Rock breaker) and Loader
• Experience operating a Articulated Haul Truck & Water Cart (Preferred)
• Hold a current and valid driver’s licence (HR preferred)
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug & alcohol screen
• Ability to provide/obtain a Police Clearance
