Mining Systems Communications Technicians

Our client, a leading service provider in the Mining sector, is expanding its team in Perth and is seeking skilled Mining Systems/Communications Technicians to join. This opportunity offers a 6-month contract initially, with the potential to transition to permanent employment and the flexibility to work across various clients and sites in WA, including FIFO options throughout the region.Requirements:

• Experience with Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) or Light Mobile Equipment.
• Familiarity with Mobile Radio Networks (TETRA, LTE, Wi-Fi) and Fleet Management Systems (e.g., Modular by Komatsu, MineStar by Caterpillar).
• Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of communication systems utilizing various telecommunication methods specific to mining operations.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with communication systems, ensuring operational continuity with minimal downtime.
• Expertise in implementing upgrades and improvements to communication infrastructure to optimize operational efficiency, reliability, and performance.

Desirable Experience:

• Previous roles and experience as Auto Electricians, AHS Mining System Technicians, Communication Technicians, HD Fitters, or LV Mechanics are highly valued.
• Exposure to Mining industry is advantageous.
• Possession of Working at Heights certification and High Risk Work Licences (EWP, LF) is beneficial.
