Eastwood Family Farms is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join and work within its broadacre cropping team at Kaniva, Western Victoria. The Farm is based within a minute drive of the thriving Kaniva Township, which has a P-12 school, Hospital, Supermarket and several coffee shops and pubs. The position is Full-Time and offers the opportunity for an individual to work with independence and take on key responsibilities within the cropping enterprise, with the opportunity to grow into positions of management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Operating all machinery used in the production of grain and hay.
• Assisting with planning and implementing cropping strategies within a no till cropping system.
• Maintenance of machinery and equipment. Engineering repair and construction of plant and equipment.
• Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of crop growth stages.
• Storage and logistics of grain and hay.
• Positions of Management within key areas are available to the right applicant.
Qualifications:
• Suitable certification or relevant experience.
Experience:
• At least two years of experience in a similar environment.
• Previous experience in operating heavy machinery and or cropping operations.
• Knowledge of heavy machinery and or equipment used in cropping operations.
Skills:
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to follow written and verbal
instruction.
• Working with other team members to ensure safe, timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and priorities.
• Highly valued skills/qualifications: MC or HC truck license. Working at heights, confined space,
Forklift. ACUP chemical users permit.
