RJN Cua Vineyards is proud to present the role of Mixed Crop Farmer. This is a role designed to be multilocational to assist both our Regional-Victorian Farm Manager and our Remote-Queensland Farm Manager.
As the successful candidate you will assist in QLD and VIC through all stages of the growing cycle of Table Grapes, specifically IP varieties. You will apply all your learnings to both properties and provide advice to Farm Managers as required.
To be successful for this role:
- Ability to be located in Regional Victoria and Remote Queensland on short-term basis during the growing cycle each year
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Valid ChemCert
- Bachelors’ degree in agronomy or another relevant field
- First Aid & Anaphylaxis training
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a supervisor/team leader or Farm Manager capacity
- Previous experience reporting IP varieties and spray/fert schedules
Some duties you will be responsible for:
- Providing in-house advice on production and labour ie, fertilising, pest control, weed control and irrigation
- Maintaining records of growth, concerns, spray diaries, fertigation diaries and any other supporting documentation and evaluating these and outcomes, predicting outcomes and acting on events that can be prevented
- Support Farm Managers in VIC & QLD for day-to-day, advice and support, training and training of Vineyard Labourers
- Assist Farm Managers by covering when they are absent from site due to personal leave
