About the role:

We are calling for a suitably skilled and experienced MMU Operators to join our team.  You will be specifically trained and supported to operate our MMU Vehicles, which are highly advanced heavy rigid vehicles fitted with the latest technologies to deliver bulk explosives at our Ravenswood Gold Customer Site only 1 ½ hours from Townsville.

The roster will be 8 days on 6 days off, and your point of hire will be Townsville.  All accommodation and meals will be provided on shift and transport from Townsville to Ravenswood is provided.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Demonstrating and setting the example of our key Company value “Safety is our priority, Always”;
• Operating our MMU trucks and other associated blasting plant machinery;
• Providing operational blasting knowledge and advice to all our client blast crews and associated stakeholders;
• Assisting with preventative maintenance on all associated plant and machinery;
• Assist with the ‘hands on’ delivery of explosive products into pre-drilled blast holes on bench;
• Working in tight unison with our teammates to provide excellence in service to our valued customers;
• At all times acting with integrity and respect.

What You Will Bring:

• Previous experience as an MMU Operator is essential;
• A current Heavy Rigid (HR) drivers licence is essential;
• Previous demonstrated work experience in a physically demanding role working outdoors in all weather conditions is essential;
• The ability to pass all required security checks in which to obtain a Dangerous Goods licence;
• An excellent, positive and team-based attitude where you look out for your teammates;
• A basic mechanical comprehension would be highly regarded;
• The ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screen.
