We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Catering Assistants. We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of catering and dining services within the facility.
The successful candidate must be flexible and available for some weekend work.
Primary Objectives will include but are not limited to:
- Participating in food preparation and beverage service.
- Assisting with required preparation and presentation of food items.
- Maintaining and promoting clean and hygienic work practices.
To be successful in the role you will be:
- Previous experience in a similar kitchen environment.
- Food Handlers Certificate (desirable).
- Passionate about food and cooking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive `can do' attitude will ensure your success in this important role.
- Professional, enthusiastic and friendly manner.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills and ability to multi-task.
- Work autonomously as well as a member of the team and have a strong customer service focus.
- You will need to be a self-starter with excellent time management skills. which enable you prioritise tight work schedules.
- Passionate about providing quality care to our residents.
- Looking forward to working in a close team environment.

Pre-employment screening
The successful candidate is required to have completed/have a willingness to undertake the following:-
- Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza)
- Undertake a National Criminal History Check
- Undertake Probity checks
- Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
