The apprenticeship program in Certificate III Mobile Plant Technology spans over 48 months and will commence in 2024. We welcome recent school graduates or anyone who wishes to complete their education and start an apprenticeship. This unique combination of formal education and work experience will give you the opportunity to: Carry out general fault finding, maintenance and repairs on mining heavy plant equipment and vehicles Work in an open cut mining environment Use hand tools, battery operated tools and specialist tools of the trade Assist qualified tradesmen Carry out other duties that are within the limits of apprentice skills, competence and ability as required To excel in this apprenticeship, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualities and skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to the full term of the apprenticeship and study requirements. Willingness to learn and develop new skills. Strong understanding of safety and safe work practices Demonstrated interest and passion for the Mechanical trade Hold a valid driver's license P1 or above Ability to complete an Order 43 Mining Medical  Willingness to obtain a National Police Check Hold a White Card or be willing to obtain  Who you'll be working with… HVTC Group is an expert in the employment and training of apprentices and trainees.
