About the Client
Our Client has secured the award of a major construction contract for the Rio Tinto Western Range Project at their Paraburdoo site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The iron ore project includes Greenfields and Brownfields scope with the construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad, primary crushing facility, overland conveying circuit and modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system.
They are currently seeking Multi Skilled operators to join the project on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key Project Details:
Greenfields and Brownfields scope
Construction of a new Run of Mine (ROM) pad
Primary crushing facility installation
Overland conveying circuit implementation
Modifications to the Coarse Ore Stockpile (COS) and downstream conveying system
The following operators are required:
Excavator Final Trim (no GPS)
Excavator/Loader
Loader/Bobcat/Roller
HR Tipper/Watercart
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following:
Proficiency in preparing and positioning plant for operation
Relevant High Risk Work license for the type of machine
Ability to select, fit, and remove attachments such as buckets, loading scoops, shovel blades, and rock breaking hammers
Skilled in operating controls for excavation, breaking, drilling, leveling, compacting, gouging, loading, and spreading materials
Experience in monitoring plant operation, adjusting controls, and ensuring the safety of fellow workers
Capable of servicing, lubricating, cleaning, refueling, and performing minor adjustments and repairs on plant equipment
General duties including yard and work-site cleaning, storage-area maintenance, and spotting duties
2+ years of industrial experience as an Operator
Nationally Recognized Construction Safety Awareness Card
HR Drivers License as a minimum
Previous construction experience on a remote project within the mining and resources sector (preferable)
