We have specialised in the operation of Stone Slingers all over Australia for more than 10 years. Stone Slingers are remote controlled vehicles which use rapid conveyors to propel soil, sand, gravel or mulch up to 40 metres away.
We support projects all over Australia in the Civil Landscape, Road Construction, Civil Construction, Petroleum, Urban Development, Land Remediation and Renewable Energy Sectors.
About the role.
You will carry out the day-to-day operation of Stone Slingers on local and interstate projects.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle and machine pre-starts.
- Carrying out unscheduled mechanical and hydraulic repairs on Stone Slingers.
- Liaising with clients and project stakeholders.
- Participation in regular drug and alcohol testing.
You will be required to:
- Undergo training in the operation of remote-control Stone Slingers.
- Undergo training to competently carry out scheduled maintenance on Stone Slingers.
About You.
We are seeking a motivated and punctual individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude to join our team. The skills and abilities you will bring include (but are not limited to) the following:
The ideal candidate will have or be willing to obtain:
- Heavy Rigid (HR) or Heavy Combination (HC) drivers’ licence.
- Automotive mechanical repair qualification or trade certificate.
- Experience operating and working on Mobile Plant.
- Experience liaising with client / project stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
- Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card)
- Manual drivers’ licence (car) and own transport.
- Working rights within Australia.
Special Requirements:
- Police background check.
