Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking a Model Assumption Analyst to join their team.
The primary purpose of the role is to contribute to the development and advise on the assumptions used by forecasters and divisions in existing operational and strategic models to meet the needs of stakeholders and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with model planners to translate needs of stakeholder outcomes or project to assumptions that are applied to models and forecast outcomes
- Assist in the application of frameworks and techniques which convert customer behaviour, survey results, network movements and demand into model inputs across operational, strategic and freight segments.
- Analyse trends to inform baselines and scenarios for Model Assumption inputs
- Contribute to maintaining a glossary containing a listing of assumptions used to generate input into models to increase efficiency of assumption generation and forecast runs
Selection Criteria:
Experience is required in:
- Microsimulation Modelling - Aimsun, Vissim, SIDRA
- Strategic Modelling - EMME
- Geospatial Systems - QGIS, ArcMap
Experience in programming (Python, VBA) and data analytics (Excel, Tableau) are a bonus.
