Job description

About the Role

We have a really cool entry-level Analyst role available! This fabulous role would suit someone who is an absolute lover of numbers and are perhaps a recent graduate, or looking for a career shift, or returning back to work!

This role sits within our equally fabulous Model Validation team, which is part of Market Risk, Credit Models & Insights. This fab group of people are responsible for managing model risk and performing Model Validation activities. The types of models will range from market risk and valuation models, prescribed regulatory calculators, forecasting models and statistical credit risk models. Excitingly, this role will see you get involved with defining priority models for validation, pipeline management and of course, overseeing model materiality assessments.

So, if you understood the above paragraph, you are a numbers-guru, love to problem-solve and find yourself to be pretty technical with the ol' excel spreadsheet (and technologies within the analytical space) then we want to hear from you!

We maintain a Model Integrity Policy and therefore in this role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring models are validated in accordance with the policy requirements and Model Validation frameworks align to the policy requirements. Sounds good, right?

About you

I know we've said it before, but we are seeking someone who just really gets numbers! Someone who is passionate and analytical, and looking to build their career as a Risk Analyst. You will join us with a strong willingness to learn and grow, and if you have any exposure to analytical Model Validation, market risk, balance sheet management, Treasury risk management, liquidity, capital or credit risk modelling (be it through university or industry experience or perhaps a side-hustle) that would put you in good steads - esp as this is what you'll be getting stuck into in this role!

We operate in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment, so we are seeking someone who is keen to come along for the ride! Collaboration and partnership come naturally to you, and you aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, participating, and promoting cooperative working relationships across the organisation!

As an outcome-driven person, you enjoy proactively communicating with the business to understand and reach their vision – yes, you get the numbers and you're curious, so you ask lots of questions to really understand the business, and how it ticks!
