Motor Mechanic

At S E Auto Centre, we are eagerly seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to become an integral part of our dynamic team. As a member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in tackling intricate technical issues, devising innovative solutions, and prioritizing customer contentment above all else.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a profound mastery of diverse automotive repair and maintenance fields, alongside a penchant for seamless collaboration within our esteemed and nurturing work culture. We are located in Virginia, QLD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
• Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings etc. and test and reassembles components.
• Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
• Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes etc. to diagnose issues accurately.
• Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Re-lines and adjusts brakes and perform wheel alignments.
• Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment prior to hand over to client.
• Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts.
• Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis and performing duties in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, effort for a repair or maintenance job.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.

Skills and Abilities:

• A minimum qualification of Certificate III or Certificate IV is required.
• 2 years of work experience in a similar role is required.
• Driven and enthusiastic individual with strong determination
• Work under minimum supervision
• Work under pressure.

Salary:

• $70,000 - $80,000 annually plus superannuation.
