At S E Auto Centre, we are eagerly seeking a highly skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to become an integral part of our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a profound mastery of diverse automotive repair and maintenance fields, alongside a penchant for seamless collaboration within our esteemed and nurturing work culture. We are located in Virginia, QLD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires.
- Repair or replace broken, worn, or dysfunctional parts such as brake pads, wheel bearings etc. and test and reassembles components.
- Test and repair electrical systems such as lighting, instrumentation, ignition, and electronic fuel injection.
- Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components such as transmissions, suspensions, steering, brakes etc. to diagnose issues accurately.
- Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer’s guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Re-lines and adjusts brakes and perform wheel alignments.
- Test and re-adjust to ensure repairs and maintenance are effective using testing equipment prior to hand over to client.
- Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts.
- Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis and performing duties in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, effort for a repair or maintenance job.
- Maintain equipment and tools in good condition.
Skills and Abilities:
- A minimum qualification of Certificate III or Certificate IV is required.
- 2 years of work experience in a similar role is required.
- Driven and enthusiastic individual with strong determination
- Work under minimum supervision
- Work under pressure.
Salary:
- $70,000 - $80,000 annually plus superannuation.
