Motor Mechanic

The Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing of lightweight motor vehicles plus various mechanical equipment including transmissions, suspension, steering and brakes, to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.

Salary is dependent on skills & experience -

• $70,000 - $85,000

• Full Time Permanent
• Various rosters available
• Tool Allowance $35.00 paid fortnightly

The key responsibilities for these roles include:

• Repair, maintain and test motor vehicles and other internal-combustion engines and related mechanical components.
• Inspect, maintain, detect and conduct mechanical repairs as required, adhering to manufacturing guidelines, service manuals and safety standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Dismantle and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts as required.
• Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups on company vehicles to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, minimise downtime and carry out necessary repairs to resume production promptly.

Required skills and experience:

• Relevant Trade qualification
• Current driver's licence
• Forklift ticket (high risk licence)
• Have Australian working rights
