The company is looking for skilled and experienced Motor Mechanics with a minimum of two years post-trade experience. As a Motor Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. If you are passionate about automotive engineering and possess a strong technical aptitude, we encourage you to apply.
- Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on a wide range of vehicles to identify and assess mechanical issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks, including engine overhauls, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Utilise diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately diagnose complex automotive problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Follow manufacturer's specifications and industry standards to ensure high-quality repairs and service delivery.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all service and repair activities.
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in automotive technology and industry trends to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating effectively with clients to explain repair procedures and recommendations.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members, including service advisors and technicians, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to further develop your technical expertise and stay updated with industry best practices.
- Helping the other mechanics and tech's day-to-day duties.
- Assisting manufacturers in diagnosing vehicles as required.
- Liaise with service advisors, parts department.
- Help training technicians (incl. apprentices)
- Relevant Trade qualifications; Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Equivalent
- Experience in one of the 14 brands is desirable however, not essential
- Excellent time management/organisational skills and attention to detail
- A willingness to learn and an appetite for challenge
- Demonstrated workshop experience in detecting and diagnosing faults in engines and electrics. (preferred, but not essential)
- C Class Manual Drivers Licence
