We are looking for a full-time Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing family owned and operated mechanical workshop located in Tottenham Victoria. You will be responsible for inspecting customer vehicles, diagnosing problems with the engine or other systems, perform routine maintenance, and complete necessary repairs. We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service, so you must be friendly and passionate about giving our customers the best repair experience possible.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine vehicles based on customer requests or concerns
- Perform basic maintenance, including changing Engine oil, rotating tyres, and checking fluid levels etc.
- Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of vehicle mechanical components are carried out in accordance to manufacture's handbook.
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.
- Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
- Auto Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
- Basic computer skills required for diagnostic testing
- Strong communication skills
- Physical strength and stamina
Requirements: Certificate III or Certificate IV qualifications in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and two years of post-qualification experience, or
a least 3 years relevant experience as a Motor Mechanic.
Salary range: $70,000- $75,000 plus superannuation
