Motor Mechanic (General)

MDH Transport is a Bulk Haulage Company. Working within the Mining and Agricultural Industries. Specialising in Minesite haulage solutions with various combinations of late model Side tipper Road trains, Watercarts and Graders. Our Merredin base operates several Road trains hauling all types of Bulk Ag Commodities across WA.

We are currently looking for a Full Time- Motor Mechanic (General) at least 38 hours per week to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Organizing vehicle servicing and inspections;

·       Oil changing, engines checking, testing and adjusting parts;

·       Preventative maintenance;

·       Diagnosis and repairing faults of various nature, electrical and not;

·       Breakdowns servicing;

·       Tyre rotation and replacement;

·       Wheel bearing maintenance;

·       Repairing and installing or replacing defective parts, mechanical components and mechanisms;

·       Checking, repairing and reassembling engines and correlated parts;

·       Brake adjustment and replacement;

·       Hydraulic maintenance;

·       Specific tasks involved in the repair and maintenance of equipment;

·       Supervising role and shift leader/Planning preventative maintenance and dealing with breakdowns;

·       Checking workmanship and completing paperwork and computer work for maintenance records, and parts orders.

Skills and Qualification:

·       Qualification and at least 2-year work experience.

·       Proven experience as a Motor Mechanic or similar role.

·       Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Effective communication and customer service skills.

Salary: $70,000 – 90,000

Location: 1/12 Day Road, East Rockingham, WA, 6168

This position involves working in a fast-paced automotive repair environment. The Motor Mechanic may be required to work outdoors and in various weather conditions. Flexibility with working hours may be necessary to accommodate customer needs and deadlines.
