Eurofins Environment Testing Australia New Zealand is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 200 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch, with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater.
- Full-time, permanent position based in Dandenong South
- Working hours from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, Monday-Friday
The Prep Technician is responsible for day to day mould and asbestos sample preparation and analysis.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager, duties for this role will include but are not limited to:
- Preparation of mould samples - Tape, Swab and Spore traps
- Preparation of E.coli/Coliform samples
- Analysing mould samples via light microscopy - Tape, Swab and Spore traps
- Analysing E.coli/Coliform samples
- Preparation of asbestos samples
- Participating in proficiency and inter-laboratory testing
- Conducting quality control procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Science
- Knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word and MS Excel.
