In 2022, I-MED Radiology's clinic network expanded across the Tasman following the acquisition of Hamilton Radiology and Midland MRI located in New Zealand's North Island.

About the position:
This is a full-time Trainee MRI Technologist position working Monday to Friday between the hours of 7.30am and 5.30pm.
The successful applicant will be included on Hamilton Radiology's General MIT roster, with no less than three days per week rostered to an MRI site. The frequency of days in MRI will increase as the candidate progresses through the MRI training programme, with a view to working full-time with Midland MRI towards the end of the training period.
About the training:
Enrolment in the Post Graduate Diploma in MRI at the University of Auckland will be required of the successful candidate no later than July 2023. This is a 2-year course consisting of both academic assignments and hands-on clinical time. The candidate will be provided with the training resources and support necessary to successfully obtain the post-grad qualification.
About Midland MRI:
Currently we have a total of 5 MRI scanners located across 3 locations - at the Anglesea Imaging Centre, Waikato Hospital and Braemar Hospital with further development opportunities planned.
In addition to the private and ACC referrals, Midland MRI is the sole provider of MRI scans for Waikato Hospital. This ensures our team are exposed to an exciting and unique blend of cases including acute, inpatient examinations. Weekend and evening shifts are required to meet the referral volumes, these shifts are covered by the qualified MR Technologists.
