Max Computing is an IT Services Managed Service Provider (MSP) with expertise in Apple as well as Microsoft and SaaS technology platforms whose values are Passion, Integrity and Excellence. We seek to deliver the right solution in the right time to our clients. We are an end-to-end solution provider from Sales, Support and Projects. Our Apple-specialisation includes being a member of the Apple Consultants Network and Apple Authorised Reseller. We are looking to strengthen our helpdesk and consultancy team continue delivering exceptional and timely Support and Projects our customers.

We are a family owned and operated business with a strong emphasis on working together as a team, understanding the strength of relationship inside the business and to our clients as well that our staff are indeed humans (we all have our fair share of ups and downs in life and at work) and look to support them in any way possible.

We are currently in our 16th year of operation and looking to strengthen our team with this multi-disciplinary multi-platform technology role.

About the role

This role complements our technical team with the successful applicant providing up to technical level 2 and 3 support / consultancy and to provide project outcomes.

You will be required to: 

  • Deliver highly technical consultation and outcomes in a timely manner appropriate to the request
  • Attend to customer requests for support and maintenance to support the helpdesk team
  • Work with the team to further progress customer IT environments
  • Continue your Learning & Development to assist your role and requirements for the business.
  • Love IT & the organisations with whom we support.

KPIs for technical activities will be observed and required to be maintained for the role to be successful. You will be expected to be able to work onsite with customers as well as from an office/home environment to see the needs of the business.

  • Sutherland office is a 5 minute walk from the train station and is nearby to M1 from both north and south sides, as well as town centre shops and facilities.

Flexible working hours and ability to work from home and office as required however, we do encourage a leaning towards working from the main office where the majority of the team is located for increased focus on team morale and increased knowledge sharing, team-work and consistency in technology and ergonomics.

Skills and experience
Required:
  • Proven aptitude within an MSP or other technical environment
  • Exceptional communication and language skills (written and verbal)
  • Familiarity with Apple ecosystem
  • Ability to lead customer training outcomes both virtually and in-person
  • Ability to re-prioritise on-the-fly to handle needs of incoming requests for support requests and project deliverables
  • Great attitude to learning and developing both your own skills and that of the team
  • Positive attitude to documentation (both internal and for customers)
  • Work as a team member to get the required tasks done within the scope of your responsibilities
  • Wisdom to know when to escalate internally
  • High attention to detail
  • Capacity to learn and grow in IT Systems maturity
  • Ability to document workflows.
Highly Desirable:
  • Microsoft 365 Systems implementation and consultation experience
  • Apple macOS Support Skills, experience in troubleshooting and management
  • Apple Certifications i.e ACSP 10.13+, equivalent online Apple Exams.
  • Windows Certifications i.e MCP, Microsoft Teams Azure
  • Engineering/Graphics/Design industries support experience
  • UTM Firewall Management and Deployment
  • Windows support and automation experience
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) / Remote Monitoring and Maintenance (RMM) platform experience
  • Script writing
  • Lateral thinking
  • Networking understanding for troubleshooting
  • VoIP Technology Understanding for troubleshooting
  • Understanding and confidence in Terminal/Command-Line
  • Microsoft Office 365 and Exchange management skills (L1/2)
  • Current Driver's License
