About the role:This is a full-time permanent opportunity (70 hours per fortnight) located in Coffs Harbour NSW.
About the opportunity:Uniting is seeking a dedicated MST-CAN Therapist to join our team. You will deliver therapy using the Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN) model. This evidence-based treatment focuses on families with children aged 0 to 17 where there is ongoing physical abuse and neglect.As an MST-CAN Therapist, you will:
- Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our team.
- Collaborate closely with MST-CAN model developers, local agencies, and DCJ.
- Carry a case load, providing home-based clinical treatment.
- Deliver services within a culturally inclusive framework, respecting the complexities of working with Aboriginal and CALD families.
- Develop and review family treatment plans according to program model timeframes.
- Foster collaborative partnerships with DCJ Community Services Centres and other key organisations.
About You:- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with AHPRA registration including provisional AHPRA registration if there is also relevant experience.
- Direct experience with family therapies, understanding child protection issues, and knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapies.
- Ability to work flexible hours and on-call as required.
- Current NSW Driver's License and willingness to transport families.
- Current NSW WWCC
