  • Salary $97,982.00 per annum 
  • Fixed Term Contract Position (1.0 FTE - 76 hours per fortnight until 30th June 2025, with the possibility of a further extension).

Reporting to the Manager, Communications and Marketing and working closely with the existing Multimedia Content Officer, this role leads Emerging Minds’ innovative and creative approach to producing engaging digital content for professionals and families on the organisation’s online learning platforms, website, and social media channels. The incumbent will be required to project manage the design and delivery of multimedia assets for Emerging Minds digital platforms and printed resources. This includes the pre-production, filming, and post-production of high-quality video content, along with podcasts, animations, and graphic design. The Multimedia Content Producer will champion the Emerging Minds’ brand, work collaboratively with a range of both internal and external stakeholders, and provide an integral leadership function within the Communications & Marketing team.

Key duties include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the creation of engaging, innovative and effective digital resources including podcasts, videos, animations, and graphic design (including the development of illustrations, icons, and diagrams) for Emerging Minds’ learning materials, content marketing and advertising campaigns. 
  • Providing high level leadership and consultancy in the development, production and design of interview and explainer videos for Emerging Minds online courses for practitioners and for families. 
  • Interpreting and developing creative briefs and developing and overseeing production schedules, including run sheets, to effectively manage shoots with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creating impactful and targeted scripts in collaboration with the teams across Emerging Minds to align with communication goals and campaign messaging.
  • Managing, updating, and organising Emerging Minds’ multimedia assets.
  • Assisting in managing the performance of external suppliers to deliver communication products and services including advertising, graphic design, video production, print and other related services commissioned by the team or project.
  • Mentoring multimedia team members to maintain high quality production standards and final outputs.
  • Building collaborative relationships and providing consultancy and communications advice to key internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • A relevant undergraduate qualification (eg: in journalism, digital media, graphic design, videography, communications, health promotion, information management).
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in multimedia/content creation related disciplines. 
  • Technical skills in video and podcast production including the operation of professional video and audio equipment and proficiency in a non-linear editor program such as Premium Pro or Final Cut Pro 
  • Technical skills in animation production.
  • Experience developing high-quality and engaging content across multiple platforms including web, social media, email direct marketing and print publications. 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Experience in maintaining brand consistency across digital channels and effectively managing and marketing a brand.
  • Experience in managing the development and production of communications collateral   such as   publications, brochures, websites, and   promotional materials.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-level customer service and an ability to communicate, negotiate, and liaise with all levels of internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and networking skills including the ability to communicate with diverse groups of people within public, private and non- government sectors.

Special conditions:

  • This position may require intra/interstate travel which may necessitate overnight absences (subject to COVID-19 restrictions and Government health advice).
  • It is a condition of employment that the employee is fully vaccinated (as determined by the employer) against COVID-19 to the satisfaction of the employer and provides the employer with evidence it considers satisfactory. These are both inherent requirements of the employee's position. Being fully vaccinated includes booster injections.
  • A current National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check are required.
  • This is a fixed term contract position until 30 June 2025, with the possibility of a further contract extension.
  • This position is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
