Multiple Registration Officers - Administration Legislation Policy

A dynamic Australia Federal Government Department is looking to engage multiple Registration Officers to join their friendly team, the department has offices Australia wide and offers flexible work arrangements. In this role you will be responsible for supporting registration and suitability assessment activities in line with relevant legislation and compliance strategy. 

TheRegistration Officers will be offered initial 12 month contracts with the view to extend for a further 6 months and a competitive hourly rate!

The successful Registration Officers will be responsible but not limited to the following;

• Work independently, under limited guidance in relation to complex or more difficult registration matters, including identifying and mitigating risks, to make sound recommendations. 
• Critically analyse and assess the suitability of applications to recommend decisions that are supported by evidence to the delegate.
• Liaise with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
• Coach, mentor and identifying training needs for the team. 

The successful Registration Officers must have the following:

• Previous working experience in a Registration Officer or Administration position.
• Experience with Microsoft office, SharePoint or similar technologies is essential.
• The ability to maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks and apply this understanding to the registration process. 
• Well-developed research and problem solving skills and ability to analyse and interpret information and make reasoned decisions.
• Strong documentation and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team and to support and mentor other staff.
