One of Australia’s Federal Government Departments is looking to engage several Regulatory Registration Officers to join their team to support the registration and suitability assessment audits in line with the legislation and compliance strategy. The Regulatory Registration Officers will be offered initial 18 month contracts with 2 years of extensions and a competitive hourly rate!
The successful Regulatory Registration Officers will be responsible but not limited to the following;
- Work independently, under limited guidance in relation to complex or more difficult registration matters, including identifying and mitigating risks, to make sound recommendations.
- Critically analyse and assess the suitability of applications to recommend decisions that are supported by evidence to the delegate.
- Maintain a well-developed understanding of relevant legislation and policy frameworks and apply this understanding to the registration process.
- Develop and maintain internal and external relationships. Liaise with stakeholders on policy, project or operational issues responding to stakeholder needs and expectations.
- Support and mentor staff within a small team environment to achieve goals by providing guidance and quality assurance for the registration process.
The successful Regulatory Registration Officers must have the following:
- Previous working experience in a Registration Officer capacity or similar
- Demonstrated ability to understand relevant legislation and frameworks in an operational
- Environment.
- Well-developed research and problem solving skills and ability to analyse and interpret
- information and make reasoned decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team and to support and mentor other staff.
- Excellent written and oral communication and ability to adapt communication style according to the audience.
