Mackay Regional Council is experienced Multi Skilled Operators to join our dynamic team at the Calen Depot. As the Multi Skilled Operator, you will be based in the Northwest Area of Mackay, servicing Midge Point to Kuttabul and occasionally extending towards Mirani. No two days will be the same as you contribute to various maintenance tasks associated with the region's infrastructure.

As the Multi Skilled Operator, you will be responsible for:

• Working on maintenance and construction projects involving sealed & unsealed roads.
• Participating in tasks related to drainage systems and other civil infrastructure projects, including earthworks, concrete, pipelaying, bitumen, and vegetation work.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure the successful completion of diverse projects.
• Operating a range of heavy equipment, including Backhoe, skid steer loader, roller, loader, and excavator, using your relevant tickets and expertise.

Essential Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competency to operate Backhoe and other road construction plant and/or equipment e.g. skid steer loader, roller, loader.
• Current General Construction Safety "White" Card.
• Current QLD Heavy Rigid Truck ‘HR’ Class Licence or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• QLD “C” Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent.

In return for your valued contribution, you will receive:

• Annual base salary $59,319.99 = $1,140.77 per week base + applicable weekly allowances
• Ability to do regular overtime shifts as applicable
• Choice of 4 or 5 weeks’ annual leave with 17.5% leave loading
