Municipal Services Officer for a fixed term in Meekatharra with a possibility of extension. AUTONOMY, FREEDOM, TRAVEL This is a unique and diverse role. It will involve travelling through the Australian outback, admiring scenery, and experiencing Aboriginal culture in the communities we service across the Pilbara. We are looking to employ a dynamic self-starter to join our Hedland based team. Main tasks of the role are: Shrub and vegetation control Maintain community roads and firebreaks Provide daily and weekly inspection sheets to the manager Airstrip inspection and maintenance Record powerhouse fuel consumables and record fuel meter readings Community asset inspections Maintenance of landfill areas Weekly vehicle and trailer inspection checklists and report fault findings to manager To be successful in this role, you will have: Open Driver's licence (MC or HR desirable) Chainsaw certification (desirable) Demonstrated knowledge of machinery operations (desirable) What can we offer you : Role diversity - opportunities to travel across Western Australia Salary packaging up to $15,900 per year plus $2650 to meal and entertainment with the potential to save you thousands in tax $$$ Salary package to superannuation on top of the above amounts to increase tax savings further Novated car leasing option through our partnership with Flare Access to free Employer Assistance counselling We strongly encourage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people to apply.
