Carey Music takes pride in developing diverse musicians and growing the love of music among our students – our program provides for those who wish to study music as an academic pursuit, those who strive to become professional performers, and those who wish to participate in music for fun and leisure.

The opportunity

Carey is seeking a Music Administrator for a maternity leave, part time (0.4) contract to provide administrative assistance in the organisation of the instrumental music program and work collaboratively as part of a team to provide efficient and effective administration support to the College’s Music Department and programs. Reporting to the Head of Music, the Music Administrator will be responsible for:

• Managing reception including but not limited to meeting and greeting staff, students, parents and visitors to the music faculty.
• Maintaining music office systems including facilities and resources
• Administrative tasks associated with the college individual Music Tuition Programme
• Providing administrative Support to the Head of Department

This is a part-time position (0.4) covering maternity leave, available until November 2024, with the opportunity of joining our casual relief pool afterwards.
