We are a family of three from Sydney and have just moved to the area. We have a beautiful two-year-old daughter who loves talking, reading books, colouring in and exploring. I (mother) work as a freelance journalist from home and my husband is a real estate agent. We love going to the beach, cooking food and spending time as a family.
Your Duties
Our daughter is currently at daycare two days a week but we are in need of some additional care 1-2 days a week while I work from home. Your main duties will include playing at home with our daughter in the morning from 8:30am (if you have experience with setting up age appropriate learning activities this is a bonus but not a necessity), serving her lunch (I will have all meals pre-prepared), reading to her during quiet time before putting her down for a nap, some very light tidying up after lunch would be amazing, then in the afternoon taking her outside for more playing (e.g walk to the park), serving her afternoon tea and more play until I finish work at 4:30pm. I will most likely always be home and working in my office so can be on hand if you have any issues or queries. Initially we will need you from late April/Early May either Tuesdays, Thursdays or both through until June. I am having our second baby in August so for the right person there may be ongoing casual work in the future which might include ad hoc nanny days and babysitting. I have all the dates available to share with the right nanny so you have the opportunity to fit in other work if you need.
Our Perfect Caregiver
We are looking for a friendly and experienced nanny to help us out with looking after our daughter. Ideally we would love someone who is easy-going but switched on as looking after a two-year-old can present many different highs and lows throughout the day! As our daughter is cheeky and active we would be looking for someone who has the energy to keep her engaged and entertained. Someone who has childcare/teacher experience would be amazing as she loves learning and reading. Mostly we want someone who can easily fit in to our lives and become a trusted carer.
