Join our team as the National Compliance Manager where you will be essential in ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations. This role involves both hands-on training and strategic management, aiming to develop our drivers into highly professional and safety-conscious members of the workforce, while also optimising our operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:- - Lead the recruitment and induction of new staff, ensuring seamless onboarding and compliance with all regulatory obligations.
- - Oversee the onboarding and disposal of plant and equipment, maintaining strict adherence to all legal requirements.
- - Manage driver incentives, disciplinary processes, and leave requests.
- - Conduct driver assessments, provide ongoing training, and ensure regular performance audits and check-ins.
- - Collaborate closely with the Compliance Coordinator to monitor work hours and enforce policy adherence.
- - Develop and implement new processes and procedures as required.
- - Handle incident reporting and maintenance requests, ensuring effective coordination between fleet operations and drivers.
- - Acquire a thorough understanding of all current company processes, particularly operations, to deliver the best value solutions to our customers.
- - Stay updated with regulatory changes impacting the business.
- - Maintain and update driver manuals and documentation as necessary.
- - Engage actively in monthly management meetings and weekly operations discussions.
- - Proven experience in a similar managerial role within the logistics or transport sector.
- - Experience in driver management is a plus
- - Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- - Excellent knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- - Have a valid HGV License and have worked as a drive in the past
- - Strong organisational and communication skills.
