The purpose of this position is to effectively coordinate the risk, safety and Compliance frameworks within the business so that risks and Compliance obligations are identified, assessed and supervised in the context of achieving the companies objectives and meeting legal, regulatory, contractual and policy requirements.

The Risk and Compliance Supervisor will ensure the management of risks and the compliance obligations of the business are met by:
Upholding and leading by the organisational Mission statement, company objectives, and promote this to all staff under your supervision Ensure all business induction & training policies are followed and implemented Ensure all Visitors, Contractors and new employees, are inducted and fully understand the site rules. Ensuring high standards of Quality are maintained, promoting safety policies and procedures on an ongoing basis Understand the requirements of HACCP and ensure that they are being carried out by all staff Implement, monitor and, or comply with WHS Management System, including but not limited to WHS policies, Standard operating procedures, Risk Assessments / Work Instructions and associated system tools in relevant work areas. Understand and adhere to the principles of Risk Management Collaborate with the leadership team in identifying risks and suggesting corrective actions Developing, maintaining and implementing strategies and annual plans for Risk and Compliance management and related activities. Examining regulations ensuring compliance is met for export Maintaining and reviewing policies, procedures, and annual plans for Compliance and Risks area SOP creation, maintenance and assist with delivery of training Policy creation, maintenance and assist with the delivery of communication Reporting on Risk and Compliance to senior management, and as required, external stakeholders. Ensuring Risk and Compliance Assessments are undertaken including analysis and reports on developments, exposures, control, breaches and related action plans across the Cold Logistics programs and activities. Identifying and communicating as necessary industry developments and changes in best practice for Risk and Compliance management. Providing guidance, advice, and/ or training programs, to embed business understanding of risk management, regulatory, contractual and policy requirements to staff and key stakeholders, as required. Evaluate the efficiency of controls when undertaking audit processes and work collaboratively with staff towards continuous improvement Routine reporting of trends and data within the Risk & Quality areas Assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible compliance risks Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control Undertake independent internal audits across the organisation to assess areas including compliance, operations, policy, systems, procedures and performance. Report findings from audits, including making recommendations for improvement to policies, operations and processes in line with best practice. Assist with following up on audit recommendations and provide reporting to senior manager on progress. To provide other relevant assistance to senior management that may be required.
Requirements
2+ years proven experience in risk management or compliance roles Must have, or be willing to obtain, a compliance certification Superior attention to detail in order to identify and correct risky practices Possess a collaborative personality and be open to suggestions from team members Excellent analytic skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies Strong time management and organisational skills and able to meet deadlines Should have a strong moral code and sense of ethics Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities Ability to build effective relationships, internally and externally Excellent organisational skills and effective oral and written communication skills Self-managed, flexible, motivated and energetic Knowledge of auditing standards and principles High standard of computer literacy and the ability to interrogate data Please apply below or email your resume and cover letter to Kelly at kjenkins@lpcommercial.com.au Please note only shortlisted candidates will be contacted
