The Opportunity 

We are currently looking for an experienced National Digital Engineering Lead to join KBR Adelaide supporting large-scale projects within defence, transport and buildings across Australia. 

The position will be a part of Digital Engineering project delivery team at the design level and will be directly involved in leading the quality and on-time delivery of the design model and virtual design review processes we have in place.  

Who are you? 

 The ideal candidate will have experience in the use of the DE/BIM/VDC/CDE software used to deliver large scale infrastructure projects including federated model management, model-based design coordination and review, 4D construction sequencing, clash detection and model validation. 

 As the Digital Engineering Lead, your key responsibilities will include: 

  •  Leading collaboration through federating and sharing Digital Engineering models with project teams. 
  • Managing validation, acceptance and maintenance of digital information into the federated Digital Engineering delivery models across projects. 
  • Managing design reviews for Information Models including Quality Assurance model checks, clash detection/mitigation and risk control processes. 
  • Assist in facilitating Digital Engineering model-based design coordination and planning design reviews with the project teams. 
  • Ability to drive projects within an ISO19650-certified environment. 
  • Implementation of Digital Engineering technical initiatives. 
  • Ongoing development of KBR’s National Digital Engineering capability. 

You will have the following skills and experience:  

  • Must be an Australian Citizen due to defence projects 
  • Expertise in 3D modelling and coordination packages (Revizto, Navisworks, Solibri, Synchro, Revit, 12d) 
  • Ability to manage diverse projects to ensure deliverables are met with excellence. 
  • Implementation and management of clash detection 
  • Understanding of all facets of the Asset Information lifecycle management approach 
  • Coordination of multi-disciplinary teams, including engineering, architecture and specialty disciplines 
  • Good understanding of current industry practices and standards (eg. ISO19650)
