National OHS Manager - Victoria

About the role:

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced National OHS Manager to join our fast-growing team. With 8 Workshops across the country, you will be working closely with the General Manager and the Workshop Managers to provide, develop and maintain all safety matters relating to work health, safety, injury management, training, program development and return to work tasks.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Responsibility of KPIs, LTIs & MTIs, and metrics for Return-to-work and incident management, whilst also further developing communications and initiatives to continuously improve business performance and safety
  • Review and organise monthly reports regarding RTW and safety performance to present to Senior Management
  • Produce and distribute statistics and incident alerts
  • Develop, review and provide feedback on safety bulletins, incident investigations, meeting minutes and inspection reports
  • Supporting and working with the workshop managers to provide advice and training (where necessary), complete risk assessments, workplace inspections and implement health & safety initiatives.
  • Work closely with the workshop teams for internal incident reporting, investigations, monitoring and closing out any incident and injury actions.
  • Create individual RTW plans based on role and capacity considerations
  • Review, process documentation and update the General Manager for Workers Compensation case management for all workshops
  • Schedule visits to our Interstate workshops to ensure compliance with safety standards, conduct inspections and audits, training and participation in safety meetings
  • Liaise with injured workers and workshop managers to monitor and further progress with return-to-work programs
  • Stay up to date on all state legislation changes, and update & contribute to ongoing safety improvements and site compliance
  • Assist on providing information and data for job tenders and site compliance portals & documents
  • Any further tasks required for the role on a day to day basis
     

Based at our Dandenong South workshop, you’ll report to the General Manager and work with multiple stakeholders across the business. The role will include workshop, site, and travel outside of the Melbourne metro area and Interstate. 
 

Required Qualities:

  • Demonstrated experience with RTW Coordination and knowledge of National Workers Compensation Legislation and return to work programs 
  • Produce and distribute incident alerts
  • Ability to travel Interstate
  • First Aid certificate
  • Drivers Licence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and Office 365
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently

Desirable Qualities: 

  • Experience in a Warehouse manufacturing or production environment preferred
  • Qualifications in Safety management
  • Current, or able to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Knowledge of Mining Operations would be highly beneficial
  • Immediate start available
