National Team Skateboarding Coach - Street and Park

A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity has arisen for a full time Street and ParkSkateboarding Coach to lead the National Team for the Turkish Skate Federation.

Working and reporting directly to the federation President, the position holder will have wide ranging responsibility in the direction, delivery and sustainability of best practice to an organisation committed to long-term development.

The successful applicant will have a sense of adventure and be motivated by diverse cultures and environments, have extensive experience in skateboarding, with a proven record of implementing positive change.

Key Duties

• Identify skaters and implement appropriate planning, training and support for long-term development
• Lead the member selection and team management at all major events, including: training camps, national, continental and international competitions
• Deliver a variety of educational experiences (practical or seminars) to a range of relevant partners and stakeholders, such as: skaters, coaches, support providers, competition and industry personnel
• Support the development and implementation of national strategies for: talent identification, pathways, coaching hubs, competition frameworks, judging, facility infrastructure and aligned support networks

Desirable Experience

• Level 3 coaching certification, relative to World Skate Coach Education and Accreditation System (CEAS)
• High level technical expertise within both Street and Park disciplines
• Successfully developed and prepared individual skaters or teams to compete at an international level
• Able to apply a range of evidence-based coaching techniques and sport science theory
• A proven leader with experience as an educator or mentor for developing people
• A good communicator who is proficient in one of either English, Turkish, Spanish, French or Japanese

Terms and Conditions

• Full time position, with 20 days leave per annum
• Immediate start, minimum 1 year contract
• Based in Istanbul-Bursa, Türkiye
• Flexible hours, national and international travel
