On Offer:A full time Casual role for the right person with a long term contract with an opportunity with Logan Council. Working hours start at 6.30am Monday to Friday and cover a 76hrs on a 9 day fortnight roster.
About the Role:The position duties will include: * Demonstrated practical field experience and specialist skills in Natural Areas operations including bushland maintenance, weed/erosion control, safe and competent operation of small plant and equipment, Natural Areas restoration and walking track maintenance. Must have knowledge and identification skills relating to indigenous flora and fauna and exotic species.
- Possess formal Natural Resource Management qualifications at Certificate III level or greater or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.
- Demonstrated knowledge and hands on experience in all aspects of planned burning activities and wildfire control strategies and techniques, including the implementation of WH&S policies and procedures in relation to fire management.
- Competent computer skills including GIS, and demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in a team and foster a positive, collaborative, safe and innovative working environment.

- $36- $39 pay rate depending on expereince.
About You:- Possession of a current manual ‘C’ class driver's license is (essential).
- The ability to operate four wheel drive vehicles and acquire an MR license would be an advantage (desirable)
- Possession of an Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) Commercial Operators Licence (essential)
- Possession of recognised bushland firefighting qualifications, Level 1 Firefighting qualification (desirable)
- Level 1 Operate and Maintain Chainsaw certification from a recognised training provider. (essential)
- Senior First Aid certificate or the ability to attain. (desirable)
- Possession of current General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) white card (essential)
